Methodology
The PES
study is conducted by Coats Technical services , and involves
a practical & detailed shop floor exercise wherein both
SSP and Epic are put into use parallely on a designated set
of sewing machines for a period ranging from 4 to 10 days
on identical sewing machines , using the same needle size
and the stitch density on a specified garment.

all around the World, Coats have proven that by using a superior
thread construction( corespun ) or by using a better quality
of sewing thread, garment quality can be improved.
This
quality improvement is brought about through:
- Reductions in thread breakage's and subsequent repairs
- Improvements in seam strength and elongation
- Reduced seam puckering
- Neater looking seams
So
far we have undertaken more than 540 PES/EVC studies yielding
an average increase in productivity of 12.06%.
